The Angel Building is the product of the reinvention of an unloved, early 1980s commercial building located in the historic district of Islington, London. It was originally commissioned by Derwent London and designed by award-winning architects AHMM at a cost of £72 million.
The buidling was fully refurbished in 2010, and now sits more comfortably within the context of the urban locale. Since its completion, it has been something of a catalyst for regeneration in the surrounding area.
The virtual tour was shot for AHMM, and it illustrates how 360 imagery and virtual tours can be used to showcase architectural projects. Once again, a high resolution, 360 degree interactive virtual tour is able to convey the internal space and atmosphere of the building, in a far better way than a simple stills photograph or moving video can. The elegant, custom designed user interface also accentuates and the high quality of the architectural project.
